On November 16, 2009, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand held a press conference with various women's health advocates to protest the anti-choice Stupak-Pitts amendment and demand that health care reform does not come at the price of women's rights. NARAL Pro-Choice New York President Kelli Conlin spoke along with an impressive array of pro-choice advocates, including Senator Gillibrand, New York City Council Speaker Chris Quinn, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, and feminist leader Gloria Steinem.
What a LIE! The Stupak Amendment does NOT make it more difficult for women to choose! It only prohibits the use of tax dollars to fund them! Current Health Care reform has nothing to do with overturning Roe vs Wade! PERIOD!
Stop the "coathanger" drama! It's very old & boring!
As a pro-choice advocate I clearly disagree that we should force ALL tax payers to fund abortions. How is that pro-choice for individuals that disagree with us? I smell HYPOCRISY!!!!

"Pro-life" as "anti-choice"? These people like to say "I am pro-choice". Since words have meaning, they should accurately complete their statement: "I am pro-choice to kill the unborn baby". Being truthful brings reality to the "choice" they are advocating. Compared to be "pro-choice" to kill the unborn baby, their "anti-choice" label boomerangs: "Anti-choice" starts sounding like a compliment.
