From where we sat [for some 5 hours+ on the rockie mountain-side] at the top of Luz Ardiden, we were positioned to see the race coming from a mile or more away. Unfortunately, the fog rolled up the mountain and the temp dropped a good 15-20 degrees. The fog obstructed the view down to the race course and up to the 'Jumbo-tron' so we saw nothing until after the 1k to go kite when the race official's red car appeared and then...
...it was all LANCE! If you saw it on TV, it was more than we got there on the mountainside. All we knew was that Lance fell on the climb. But what a comeback... ALL by himself for the win. Look for the Yellow Jersey coming up the road.
