to fire a driver with a year contract after 4 races in 2 of which equipment failed is not fair I would say

@redupfox The thing about his crash during testing at Silverstone is true, but he came back qualifying 4th on the grid at Imola - so the pre-season test crash doesn't count to me as an excuse for poor results in the second half of the season. The thing about Briatore putting him under pressure doesn't count at all. It is a driver's job to handle the pressure, if he can't, he has the wrong profession. Just like Ron Dennis said: "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!"

There was plenty of good drivers on the market in the end of 1993-early 1994 - Warwick, Brundle, Blundell, Herbert but Benetton selected him. What a waste of seat in Top Team!!!

Give him a break.
He had serious accident in January and put after a tremendous pressure from Mr. Briatore who effectively ruined his career.
He had bleak Monaco and Canada races, but in Imola and Montjuic his qualified 5th and 4th respectively. Had his engine been more reliable he would finish 3rd in Barca.
My only surprise was that he received a seat with Benetton at all - Patrese - 100% would be a better partner - at least Benetton would receive Constructors' Cup in 1994:-))))))))))))))

he qualified only 20th (!) on the grid, 2,5 seconds away from Alesi's Pole, 0,8 seconds behind Teammate Verstappen who qualified in 10 th position. Michael Schumacher qualified the same car for the front row the race before (Spa) and the race after (Jerez). In the race, he finished 9th, one and a half lap behind winner Damon Hill. a poor return to F1 racing. As far as I know, he's in prison now for causing a boat crash that killed one man.

Toi tunnin aika-ajo oli kyllä parempi ku tää nykyne. Ja seuraaminenkin on kivempaa ku ruutu ei oo täynnä sijoituksia ja aikavertailuja.

JJ:n alamäki alkoi ennen kauden 1994 alkua. Hän ajoi Silverstonen testeissä ulos ja satutti niskansa vakavasti. Ajaminen oli koko kauden tuskaa niskakipujen takia. Siinä meni formulaura viemäristä alas juuri silloin kun kaikki oli mahdollista. Mutta ajoihan hän sitten myöhemmin ihan pätevästi muissa luokissa.

Se oli oikeestaan jo Silverstonen testeissä tammikuussa, kun tapahtui paha ulosajo, seurauksena mm. vakava niskavamma. Sen jälkeen JJ ajoi kuin varjo.

B194 ei oikein toiminut kuten T2 Autot.!
näin on, kyllä Lehdon alamäki alkoi Imolan onnettomuuden jälkeen,ja ajoihan hän niska kipeänä Monakossakin.Kauden alussa hän oli tosi nopea.
