We had been missing a step using a second piece of couch paper and pressing on the back of the white mesh. Takes a lot more water out and makes the paper easier to handle and faster to dry. We have never made that much paper in one day!! :):)

  • I love the way you make paper but I would like to know what kind of net your are using, metal or plastic and what kind of paper is the one you called mash. Please let me know, thanks, monica

  • @auramonicauk Hi! The kit we bought is the Arnold Grummer brand. He has videos on youtube and has on online store. That white piece is a plastic "mesh" that has tiny holes in it. All the parts come in the kit and you might be able to see them more clearly at his online store @ Arnold Grummer (dot) com. I hope that helps.

  • I have been trying to reply to your comment for days and youtube won't let me. Crossing my fingers.

We haven't really used any sizing yet because we have mostly been doing craft projects. We use the Arnold Grummer pour method and he does sell a powdered additive that is supposed to make the paper archival and smoother for writing. I have written and painted some on ours-can be more absorbent, but that depends a lot of the type of paper you are recycling. I should try the additive!

  • lol the water looks like kool-aid

  • @marksgernade *giggles* That's so funny! Yes it does, doesn't it. :):)

  • at leat u whre smart enoughh to tell us what your doing before you turned on the blender

  • @22IceEye LOL! We knew you couldn't hear anything when the blender was on and neither of us know how to edit videos, so we had no other choice. ;)

  • @auramonicauk its in a pack called papermil she got it in a set

  • At what point do you size it? You can't write on it at this point, can you? Won't the ink just run, as if you were writing on wet paper if you don't size it? Is the size in the water? This seems like an important step to me. Enjoyed the vid, btw.
