  • Thanks for video. What filter combination do you use ? Regards.

  • This was just using the stock 2.7 "roofing" filter. With the DSP it works great. I have the 500hz five pole CW filter & FM filter on back order with the second receiver that I ordered. Should receive that anytime now. In this vid I had only just finished putting it together so was just playing around with the settings. The audio in the vid just doesn't do the rig justice!

  • @orestemusic Seriously you believe the 590 to be better than the K3? Internal speaker on the K3 is weak. K3 is outstanding on an external speaker. K3 is heads and shoulders above the 590. They are not in the same class. Better dynamic range, infinitely better filter possibilities, 2 identical top of the heap receivers, phase locked diversity reception, best customer service in the biz. To be fair, the 590 is not intended to be a K3 competitor. It is a very nice and very good performance though.

  • Ts-590 is much better than Elecraft K3.

There are no way, 590 i k3 killer.

  • Spent most of the video with the cw signal mist-tuned.

  • Thanks for the info. How is it on CW? I don't like the fact that CW on the Pro3 sounds 'veiled', with DSP artifacts at times. I literally want to throw the rig out the window when i'm on CW, and would rather use my older tube rigs, since the audio is much more pleasant. I wonder if the K3 CW DSP is better implemented than the Pro3?

  • Band scopes are nice, and the proIII is nice, but the 756 can't hold a candle to the K3 receiver. The K3 can handle close in adjacent signals that would make the ProIII melt down. easily 18 DB better close in 2KHZ dynamic range over the Pro III. That means an 18 DB stronger signal without RX desense.
