NOAM CHOMSKY, world-renowned linguist, political analyst, philosopher and activist, has been called "arguably the most important intellectual alive" by the New York Times. Recently, in a British magazine poll, he has been voted by a landslide as the top public intellectual in the world today. According to the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, between 1980 and 1992 Chomsky was cited as a source more often than any other living scholar, and remains the eighth most cited scholar ever. A professor at MIT, he is the author of more than 80 books, including The New Military Humanism: Lessons From Kosovo. His most recent book is Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy.

Danilo Mandic: Professor Noam Chomsky, in your, if I am not mistaken, first TV media appearance for Serbian media, thank you very much for being with us.

Noam Chomsky: I am glad to be with you.

Danilo Mandic: Last month marked the seventh anniversary of the beginning of the bombing of Yugoslavia. Why did NATO wage that war or I should say why did the United States wage that war?

the srebrenica massacre is the most politicized event in the war! there most definetly weren't 8000 males murdered every serious scholar now denounces that number. All the wars in the 1990's were directed by the USA to put its nato troops in the territory of Yugoslavia. Milosevic was against the break-up and so the West demonized him to no end. They achieved their goal in Bosnia, they achieved their goal in kosovo. The serbs were agains the break-up of yugoslavia which didn't suit the US

@Ms777Lena Naravno da se izvinjavam ako sam te takvim imenom nazvao veruj da se ne secham . Ako mislish na komentar kod tebe na kanalu onda si trebala pogledati strelice nanizhe koje pokazuju na osobu ispod mog komentara.Dame nikada ne nazivam prostim imenima jer sam Bogu zahvalan shto vas je stvorio a sucheljavanja nashih pogleda oko Kosova mozhemo nastaviti na sasvim kulturan nachin i bez vredjanja. @NeKosovo Ne, nikako se ne bojim istine, samo što je ti i ja vidimo drugačije. Blokirala sam te jer si me nazvao Majmunom, što evidentno nije istina već uvreda. Uvek imaš mogućnost da se izvineš, naravno :)

@Ms777Lena U Albaniji zhive i nacionalne manjine kao shto su grchke, crnogorske i makedonske i to nije nikakva tajna i niko to ne osporava osim vas i time shto vas vasha antialbanska propaganda informishe.Na svu srechu Beograd je ostao neshto shto ne mozhesh uporediti sa ostalim delovima srbije i shto je jedno vashe veliko blago .Na zhalost sve je manje pravih beogradjana u institucijama odluchivanja a sve neki doshljaci koji nemaju pojma o zhivotu. Javi se kada imash manje posla :-) Chao .

@Ms777Lena to shto kazhesh o istrebljivanju pa dosta ste u tome i uspeli ( preko milion nas proterano za Tursku u vremenu rankovicha a skoro milion nas pobeglo trbuhom za kruhom vani jer smo "imali "radna mesta na Kosovu , skoro svi zatvori puni nas i dr. ) a sve pa i te shkole smo uvek teshkom mukom i zhrtvovanjem dobijali a ko je imao prednost u zaposhljavanju to je javna tajna a to ste bili vi . Jedino se to malo promenilo od 1974 do 1981 od kada je ponovo pocheo lov na sve shto je albansko.
