  • FANTASTIC!!!! would you mind telling me what camera setup you used? also, what do you think the max range was on your radio at its farthest? incredible flying. well done.

  • Camera is the CREATIVE VADO, which has now been superceeded by the far superior VADO HD with its higher resolution and wide-angle optics.

Radio range is apparently about 1 mile, so well beyond visible range.

  • Hey Huw - what an incredible evening! Tom and I should have been up on our paramotors... Great video.

  • Yes, it really was a great flight, Ben. I thought the 'Out of Africa' soundtrack lended itself particularly well in view of the fine atmospheric conditions.

  • My Great, great grandfather was born here. I will see it someday.

  • Great video! You can see why Surrey is known as the most wooded county in England.

  • i live in haslemere and can tell that is the rec. i live close and did fencing at the haslemere prep school (hights), thats the school next to the rec. gr8 flying, amazing vid.

  • what a great video brings back lots of haslemere memories of the rec

  • i grew up in chiddingfold , went to st bartholomews, later woolmer hill, now i live in loveland colorado with my wife. i had forgotten how green it was back "home"

don't get me wrong..it's so very beautiful here at the foot of the rocky mountains "the range" but there is something timelessly wonderful about englands south east..the grass really isnt greener on the other side of the fence...but you cant get a decent steak in "chid" or haslemere.this video makes me think my stomach sold my soul

  • Fantastic !

  • Take off from the Recreation Ground on Scotland Lane - I grew up in Haslemere (we lived on the Haste Hill extension beyond Five Ways Corner, near the SVTL), and used to play tennis there on summer's evenings and 5-a-side football in winter.

Hillside School near the High Street was my first school, followed by St Edmund's in Hindhead and then Charterhouse in Godalming.

I have roamed the world entire since leaving, and have never found anywhere on Earth to match Haslemere.

  • amazing - i went to school there
