This is really incredible. We have a very smart 18 week old male Portie, Zoli, and we would like to train him to stay, walk without stopping and starting, go down, etc. like Gwennie.  My question is how can we train Zoli to do what the lovely Gwennie does? What methods did you use?

We used positive motivation to train Gwennie. It's fun, and effective, and certainly one of the best ways to build a positive, trusting relationship with a dog. My suggestion is to find a good, positive trainer in your area to help you. There's really nothing like having a professional guide you through the process of how to communicate what you want, and how to motivate the dog to want to respond. Good Luck!

Absolutely great video for a future Portie owner to view. Thank you. I bring my new Portie home mid March and it is SO good to see the depth of training that can be attained with this breed. I did many of these exercises with my late Golden Retriever so I "get it". All very exciting. Looking forward to it. thanks for posting.
