White Russians

A pictorial look at the White Russians, the members of the counterrevolutionary movement in Russia following the Bolshevik takeover and during the Civil War. They were a varied lot and were not often well united, some members had very different ideas than others, but nonetheless they were all at least on the right side in sofar as opposing the takeover of the bloody Bolsheviks.

@xander7ful That would be Colonel Andrei Shkuro. The White Russians had a variety of political positions but it is safe to say most were monarchists of some sort. The term is used to describe those counterrevolutionary forces who opposed the Bolsheviks. The Communists were the "Reds" and the anti-communists were the "Whites".

I know many people call themselves "social democrats" & as far as they are truly dedicated to democracy I don't slight them.
