Outhouse Races - Breckenridge, Colorado

Colorado blue skies, smooth pavement, a little creativity and spirited racing partners were exactly what Breckenridge needed to fuel a quirky event that will become a mainstay in Breckenridge's wildly popular events line-up for years to come. Eleven rookie outhouse racing teams from around Breckenridge and Colorado came together on Sunday, June 17 to push and pull their outhouses of various themes and materials across the finish line.

The Amazing Grace team led by Monique Merrill, owner of Amazing Grace Natural Foods and adventure racing world champion, "gracefully" pushed and pulled their outhouse, mounted on a skateboard, to victory. The team was awarded with a golden toilet seat, a $500 cash prize, five cases of Bud Light and Budweiser schwag.
