he's right about it being a bad idea to set up a timetable of deployment-withdrawl, that just says we only plan on being there for a couple years and whatever happens happens, we're out either way. but there's no point in sending in 30,000 more troops we should withdraw immediately. does anyone honestly believe afghanistan will be peaceful and free of terrorists in 2011, or ever?

MrA1995- I agree 100%. McCain nails the real problem with this surge and that is the stated time line for withdrawal. There should never be a stated time line for withdrawal regardless of the military objective. To state a timeline for withdrawal was merely a pandering to the left. Obama has painted himself into a corner. Inside of 2 years, this plan will be labeled as a huge failure. A cockroach(Al qeada) doesnt come out when the lights are on. It will wait for the dark after we have left.
