  • everybody i have a Question for all of you!

who do you think is better?

KAMI on drums from Malice Mizer (RIP) or

Kiyoshi Ijichi on drums from Asian Kung Fu Generation

my friend thinks Kami wasnt that special because he believes that Kiyoshi is the best ever

now i'll admit Kiyoshi is pretty cool but my vote will always go to KAMI!!!!!! the real Genius!

so what do you guys/girls think?

  • Well, I wouldn't compare these guys, Malice Mizer and AK-FG simply play(ed) too different styles. But actually, of the Japanese bands I know I always considered these two as my favourite drummers. ^^

And if you think of songs like "Bel Air" or "追憶の破片" (Tsuioku No Kakera) you'll have to admit that Kami in fact was skilled. ^^ His beats are unusual and somehow break ranks, yet they're really cool and fit perfectly in the songs.

  • wat happened to kami?

  • He died of a subarachnoid hemorrhage in 1999.

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF THIS SONG? I TRIED DOWNLOADING IT, BUT IT GAVE ME THE WRONG SONG. hey. hey. hey. i would ♥ the person who tells me the name of this song.

  • As the topic suggests the name of the song is "Hamon/Kyosokyoku" ^^. But I don't know if you're able to download it since it's only on the live DVD "Merveilles L'espace" and not on any album - at least as far as I know.

  • Kami was god of progressive rock drums not just in taste, and fills but in technique. every drum part he has played has been just plain amazing. Kami is the master of it, like what Mark Portnoy is to progressive metal. he the best, no question. Malice Mizer has never gotten the credit it deserved for the amount of talent with EVERY instrument. Yu~Ki being an amazing bassist and the guitars were great and of course the arrangement and vocals are top notch too, thats why they are my favorite band

  • My favourite Japanese drummer...So Awesome

    Kami...RIP..

    He's surely in Heaven now...
