Witches used to rub belladonna oil all over their bodies and hallucinate. Possibly where the concept of flying on broomsticks to the Sabbaths came from.

Wow! I haven't seen a besom used except in Trad-Craft, and they use it for created the sacred space - but they always sweep widdershins.

I personally don't think it matters whether you are an Atheist or Christian.. I was born an Orthodox, but I love all this witchcraft stuff. It really amazes me. I don't think witchcraft is praising the Devil.. And I don't think a witch wouldn't be able to go to Heaven just because she practiced witchcraft. This is just a way of life. It's how you look at it. Being religious doesn't mean you can look down on Atheists. It's just a belief. No one knows the entire truth. No one.
