Interview with Wright State University Theatre alumna Lisa Leon, class of 2007, in design/technology with focus on costume design. One of the outstanding features about Wright State according to Ms. Leon, is "personal attention" given each student in design/technology by the faculty and staff, as well as the sense of "passion for the art of the theatre" demonstrated by students and teachers alike. In her senior year at Wright State, Ms. Leon designed the costumes for the Bertolt Brecht/Kurt Weill musical "The Threepenny Opera." This past spring, Ms. Leon returned to Wright State University as guest costume designer for the department's regional university premiere of "Phantom of the Opera."

Immediately upon graduating, Ms. Leon was accepted into the competitive M.F.A. program in costume design at Yale University, where she graduated two years thereafter. Ms. Leon lives in Brooklyn, New York, as a freelance costume designer and costume technician, and presently is working as resident costume designer in Syracuse, New York.
