  • I wonder how much that little loco weighs?

  • About 4 tons or so

  • why didn't you try REVERSING the tractor would have saved you alot of effort

  • Because it was about ready to tip over if you look at the angle. Pulling so much on that one side would have made it off balance and the back end would have moved farther away. So really a matter of getting a few guys to shove the loco a few inches isn't a big deal is it?

  • now THAT is hilarious! LOL!

  • Not so much when it happened tough.

  • @318Captain cars usually dont weigh 4 tons. but yea, i get your point

  • Wish you had also moved to right on the track for a better persepctive.

Still don't see what they were doing.

    Why the wood?

  • @AbbeyLightRailway You can rock anything thats partially in the air. also...thats a big tractor. Prolly had the tires filled with fluid. Each big tire filled with fluid...thats a good 1500lbs counterweight right there. plus, Ive seen tractors round the same size toss cars like paper.

  • is this the same gauge as "park" trains such as those used in zoos and amusement parks?

  • cool

  • you wouldn't be able to rock it like that by hand if it really was 4 tons. Tractor wouldn't be able to lift it either.

  • about as much as four cars !:)

  • About as much as a car! Sometimes it amazes me how such a heavy vehicle (in the case of a full sized loco) can completely leave the tracks like it had no flange on the wheels. But then again, those heavy vehicles usually break the track itself.
