thats why i, even tho I'm german and very fond of german cars, don't like porsche.....its as mass produced as a vw golf...and yet it is so overpriced, just look at aston martin, their vantage is about the same price as a carrera S and is made with much more love and passion

The point is actually mentioned in the video "added value".
If the customer can't see any difference in the end product, why add cost at the production stage?
The customer is only willing to pay for activity which is evident in the product they are buying.
