Since 1999 there have been around 22,500 staged or induced accidents, costing the insurance industry £200 million a year. That's the equivalent of £50 added onto every motor insurance policy in the UK. 41% of people are apparently unaware of the problem. The scams to watch out for include: "The Classic Rear-end Shunt." This is where the car in front slows down for no apparent reason until they are quite close to you before suddenly slamming on the brakes. A fraudster will often disable their car's brake lights so you don't realise it is even braking until it is too late. "The Decoy Rear-end Shunt" is where you're following one car when another one pulls in front of it from a side street or from a parked position. This gives the fraudster a reason to brake causing you to crash into its rear end. Then there's "The Helpful Wave Shunt" where you're sat patiently waiting to turn across traffic into a side street when some friendly person seems to slow down and wave you across. As you turn, they then promptly crash into you. So, to try and help make more people aware NCD News has developed an online game to test your skills. Simply go to noclaimsdiscount.co.uk/game, get in your car and see if you can stop the scammers from getting any cash out of you.
the biiggest fraudsters are the insurrers, why do they increase the costs of our insurance by spending huge amounts of OUR money on advertising on every possible media channel. Why do they have to use our money to pay for the advertising while third party insurance is compulsory and is not an optional service. Third party insurance should be banned because it adds up on our bills and only fully comprehensive should be allowed. It's just plain common sense.

This is true and it's mainly asians, i have been hit by an asian taxi driver, he barely touched me and he blaimed me and claimed whiplash injuries, £95 a day for a hire car, why is he driving with a whiplash injury?? they are all scamming the system, be careful, if you have a crash with an asian take every detail you can, photos names withesses everything. i am not a racist but have heard of so many situations involving asians making false claims, be careful!!
