  • It ran with methanol.

  • Is the water effective enough to keep it from cracking?

  • Yes.

  • That is a digital scale. Was there to see if any thrust could be measured.

    Nothing fancy here. Just a jam jar with an exaust nozle bolted on. There is a gap between the exaust tube and the lid so that fresh air can come in.

    The jam jar was put inside a metal pot with water for cooling.

  • He/she has it mocked up on a digital scale, that way when its running if its producing any real thrust, it will force downwards, into the scale and change the weight reading.
