The people of eastern Cumberland County have been waiting for NC 24 to be widened for almost/over 30 years now. It would not surprise me if NC 24/27 through Moore County gets widened with a Carthage and Cameron bypasses built before that two lane stretch of NC 24 from I-95 to I-40 ever gets widened.
