My opinion is. its not offensive at all. If a black man painted his face white, no one would say a thing. I think its just fun and people need to get over racism. We are all the same. So why get offended over something so pointless. Why is it okay to make fun of Australians on shows like the Simpsons. But not when its the other way around. Just my opinion. Let me know what you think

australians arent racist....i am australian....australia is probably one of the most multi cultural countries in the world. The only reason australians may not like people from other countries is because they come over here during war times and come here for refuge and then go out and do serious crimes.

I have to agree with you on this. Its gone too far. In australia swearing at your friend is a term of endearment. There are racist people everywhere. but they are few. Its just that they don't see the bigger picture. You should see how the australians make fun of themselves. But its funny those that say it was discriminative are discriminative themselves. and too stiff to have a sense of humour.

@Shuntr62 FYI my quote is from the 2nd verse of the anthem, made Official in 1984. My quote only apprears in the 3rd verse of the old 1901 version. Furthermore, what are you on about? I neither said anything about African American denoting colour, nor did I deem it an insult. I also didn't say anything about Aussies putting up any divisions between anyone. @TheMattsantiago mentioned the racism in Australia against "asians and indians" so I clarified the terms "asian" and "indian".

@realish786 FYI, Your quote is from the 3rd verse of the anthem. The term African American to denote colour could be deemed an insult if you're an American from the West Indies, India or Fiji. Now you want to segregate the Asians to South & East. Who's putting the divisions up now?
