DO NOT FOLLOW THIS VIDEO THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!!!! YOU NEED TO PLAY WITH YOUR PINKY ON OR THEY WILL SOUND FLAT, NOT TO MENTION YOULL NEVER LEARN BARRE CHORDS IF YOU PLAY THIS WAY. TRUST ME IF YOU LEARN THIS WAY YOULL LAUGH AT YOURSELF IF YOURE STILL PLAYING IN A YEAR

@Charlotteandwebshow is the amp turned to the on position? :o

your playing it wrong this is the incorrect way its a series of 3 notes. a power chord falls under the classic barre chord. its 3 notes your pinky has to be under the middle finger playing the next note other wise its no chord.

well, this is kind of a late comment.. the easiest way to start is buying a starter pack, it usually comes with a stratocaster sorta looking thing, after you get that, look online on how to read tabs, tabs are a great way to record the notes of a song, after you learn how to do that, look up tabs for easy songs a common one to learn is smoke on the water.. if you start buy learning simple stuff and not all the fancy names, you will enjoy the playing a lot better :)
