Hey, its just a song!
And a good one too, written in the early 1920s during the Civil War to parody the Daily Mail's so-called war-reports of the time.
It was said that the actual Daily Mail reporter wrote his pieces from Hollyhead from snippets of misinformation he'd heard from travelers!
Am I right in saying this is taken from the LP "Lid of me Granny's bin"? Great song and great group!

I've a few copies of this song on different albums. Mostly Irish Rebel Complilitions, but I took this one from The Best of Blackthorn by Pegasus Entertainment. Dunno where you'd get it though... I got it at Nutts Corner market.
