Alex Van Halen is one of those "Oh, shit!" drummers. His drum solos are INSANE. You never know if he's gonna blow himself up or set his drums on fire or what. That's what makes his drum solos cool.

Ed and George Lynch saw Harvey Mandel tap in a club in LA in the mid-1970s, so others were doing in. He heard Billy Gibbons tap in "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers," they also covered that song in the clubs and on tour sometimes.
