Did you know that Steven will now only allow himself to be filmed front on and not in profile owing to his ever expanding (black?) belt line.

It's tragic to watch his films now. He's now the martial arts worlds equivalent of "Fat Elvis". So so sad.

  • @theflashfellow that's why his movies are now Straight to DVD. lol

  • OOPS....a line was deleted...

"That's the key, just like ACTING....you just stand there and let others act AROUND you."

  • (cont)....creative choreography. Master Steven need not waste all that energy. He understands that with just 4 or 5 basic Aikido moves, you can just stand there, and let others fall AROUND you. That's the key, just like act

If you grow a ponytail, you may understand one day.

  • @theflashfellow

You are humble enough to realize your limitations. Master Steven and I like that.

It is not your fault. Had you spent years running imaginary missions for the CIA as Seagal did, you'd have known that aimlessly waving your hands about nullifies a meat cleaver.

No wound can puncture the impervious attitude of the master! Sure, a hack like J. Chan may go out of his way to let his stunt guys/opponents shine, but that's because he is all hyper, and inventive, with flashy and....

  • @datacipher

    LOL yeah you're right.

A razor sharp meat cleaver is no much for a fat guy with wooden acting ability waving his hands about your face. What I like most is that Seagal was also supposedly carrying a bullet wound when the fight went down and could still throw punches in fast forward with both arms AND wise crack at the fights finish.

Thats some martial artist, I'm ashamed to have sold him so short.

  • @theflashfellow

You fail to realize that nobody could use that cleaver while Segeal waves his hands around! You'd be as hopelessly hypnotized as that man, thinking "what the hell is this unathletic man trying to do??"

Just like with that man, he'd finish you off with some sped-up-film-enhanced moves!!!

  • @MrNChoudhury

It's hard to make a fight scene last more than a few seconds, when all you can do are the same 5 basic Akido demonstration moves...but yes, here they were able to drag it out with 30 seconds of posturing...30 seconds of hugging and rolling on the ground...and 30 seconds of waving your hands around....which apparently hypnotized his cleaver-wielding opponent over and over. Love the sped-up -ilm moves at the end though....did it help disguise Steven's lack of athletic ability? NO.

  • @theflashfellow they don't say much about Penn's background. all they say is that he ran a war camp where they played paintball.

  • @theflashfellow

Most of Seagal's opponents last only a few seconds. Penn lasted a good two minutes of mayhem so he was a worthy challenger. He required a lot more bone crunching to be delivered but the Master came through in spades.
