Never been a big fan of the Miata/Mx5 but this car looks great. Very very well designed and will be a classic car for sure.

Not sure what the specs are off the top of my head but it's like 125-135hp right?

Mazda 3 engine?! Can u guys say wheel spin city.

That engine is way too heavy and powerful for that light of a car.

I agree the power needs to be uped but not by that much. I would have ok'd a 170-190hp 1.8 litred engine. This is no drag racer gentlemen, but a bit more oomph would be nice

The new miatas look ugly & the skid pad test is worse. Mazdaspeed mx5 turbo looked the best. What does mazda have against putting more power into a miata? You know a v8 can fit into a older miata.

Are you guy's kidding me? Why would Mazda go through all the trouble of choosing their lightest vehicle, stripping away all unnecessary weight and then spoiling their efforts by mating it to a larger and heavier engine from the Speed 3? I can't believe that people still don't realize that the MX-5 is and never will be designed for straight-line speed. It was designed from the start to have a small engine, featherweight body and nimble handling. This version is the epitome of that mindset.
