Taking in solar energy through the warm Florida sun, as well as in the form of vibrant living foods and sprouts, is essential to the Hippocrates lifestyle. I share my understanding of the importance of getting adequate sunshine without sunscreen on, as well as take you on a tour of the Hippocrates Health Institute's infamous greenhouse.

  • What about the hole in the ozone layer?

  • @bluesdog88 Don't be in the sun all day. With any thinner parts in the ozone layer, we simply need less time in the sun! The Ozone holes are repairing themselves however due to the stop on things being made with CFC's etc.

  • interesting info. did you say there is vitamin d in sun flower see sprouts and wheatgrass?

  • @upcycle There is vitamin D2 in sunflower sprouts and some other types of greens, yes.

  • UV light causes base pair mutations=skin cancer. Isn't that knowledge we've had for over 50 years

  • Also, breathing oxygen causes minute amounts of oxygenation, doesn't mean we shouldn't breathe. Reductionism is dead, fractal biology and holistic medicine is the only sustainable future.

We are meant to get sunlight. When you take in excessive toxicity, the UV rays have a great chance of causing skin cancer.
