I bet that was fun to do.

this type of song shouldn't be played by 5 horns at once
too much articulation is needed that cannot be supported by that much noise

there is a mistake at 1:11 listen... sounds good over all

good but Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion performance is better, belive me;-)

To be true, I know only two versions from Charlie Parker of that tune, made in studio for Norman Granz and Verve. I picked up and arrange by myself. I respect the omnibook and his author, but sincerly, if I had an advice to give to somebody who is found of Bird and others, forget these solos-books, and pickup by yourself. p.s.: I'd be glad to hear live sessions with Parker of "Au privave"

I think i have the whole omni book on cd with all original recordings from the bird himself. I should probably dig that up. I love this song XD

forget "omni book", full of mistakes. Pick up Bird by yourself, you'll play it much better.

I can't believe they got the hard part in unison!

It is not unisson, but four part harmonised with baritone doubling lead alto (traditional saxes tutti in close voicings). Sure, it takes time to work that music.
