The epic bout started out at a fast pace and virtually never slowed. At stake was the N.A.B.F. Middleweight title. Mahfood remained the aggressor throughout but was ripped by Martin with accurate and sharp combinations.
The 40-year-old Martin showed why she is one of the sport's pioneers, remaining in great shape for her age and displaying spectacular discipline.Mahfood, who at the age of 34 brought a record of 19-14-3 with 9 KO's, landed big shots of her own throughout the contest. She continued to demonstrate great toughness and determination.
