"Dr. West steps out of the classroom and into the studio to record "Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations," produced by The Designated Hitters. Hidden Beach shedules a release in June, during Black Music Month. The project brings together the voices of some of hip hop's most progressive artists, including Talib Kweli, KRS-1, M1, Killer Mike, Rhymefest, Neo Abyss, Malik Yusef as well as musical giants, Prince, the late Gerald LeVert, David Hollister, and Chuckii Booker. Also, tracks on the CD include a riveting, scored-to-music debate on the many issues surrounding the use of the "N-word," featuring Dr. West and radio, television and literary personalities Tavis Smiley and Dr. Michael Eric Dyson.

  • Hey check out cornell west new album...edutainment

  • Oh you know what....I did meet him and shook his hand at FAMU's Homecoming. It was in '97. There were Black people everywhere and I'm walking around tipsy when all of sudden. I saw this dude walking toward me with a suit on, I said hey I saw you on BET (reeking of Budweiser), he smiled and a guy with him introduced him. He was a cool humble dude. I even bought his book the Cornel West Reader.

  • Yeah, that's the 2nd campus that was established. Lol. But the one he came to was up in Massachusetts...campuses are very different from each other in a billion ways. Lol I'm glad you like the dude

  • Yeah, I know. I had a chance to meet him at the T.D. Jakes B.E.S.T. Conference in Jacksonville, FL but I missed out on 'em. Man, I can't get enough of this guy. He wish he was my cousin or something. I wonder if Gordon College is in Georgia; that's where I'm from.

  • Hey! I met him when he came to Gordon college...a small group that Im part of had a chance to ask him some questions then we all took pictures after. He's a cool guy. Very very intelligent, and hilarious at the same time!

  • Someone asked me what famous person I would like to meet; without much thought I responded Cornel West.
