But see, most folks treat cars in an utilitarian way. 15 years ago "yellow" PC was totally inacceptable. Nowdays, all but most crucial pieces of electronic hardware come from China. Unless a miracle happens, we are soon going to see ditto for cars. The cars do not have to be anything like "exquisite" or "breath-taking" -- just good enough, like Microsoft software most people use every day. And cars of the middleearth are going to become good enough, and much sooner than most people think.

As of now -- yes, many chinese cars are total crap in terms of reliability and safety, some of them are not exactly so, being 1:1 copies.

But then, you see, everybody's got to start with something. As of North America and Europe, back in the 70ies, nihon-shushin cars were deemed "crap". Then, during the late 80ies and a good part of the 90th, Korean cars were deemed "crap". During the 00th and perhaps early 201x-th, Chinese cars are considered crap. That is ok au parfaitement.

I know it doesn't exist in the US and Canada, I said it should, it would get rid of alot of bad drivers since they would all DIE in accidents. China cars are like the rest of china goods, GARBAGE

Wait a sec... Powerless? Compraed to what? Mitsubishi Pajero? Toyota Prado? You must be kidding about the RAV powers...

1.9 Fiat Multijet D-engine under the hood of the sino-italian DR5 does 120HP and ass-whooping 280N*m of torque @ just 2k RPM (176km/h max).

20D-4D Diesel 2.0L 115HP 250N*m (170km/h max)

DR5 is an italian-made car with Chery Tiggo body and fiat multi-jet diesel engine. There is no such car in the US o4 Canada, d00de.
