my teacher told me that one time in boot camp he fired the m60, and a rabbit came on the range, and every one with m16s, m14s, and m60s were shooting at the rabbit, and nobody hit it. My teacher said " that was the fastest rabbit he has ever seen."

I remember that we had asbestos mittens to wear when changing the barrel. And when it got too hot, our drill sargents told us that if you don't have water to cool the barrel, it was OK to piss on it. Probably the only time you might not get in trouble for peeing on government property.

@claudiobenassi85 The funniest part was that the airborne troops like my Uncle (75th Ranger Regiment) were watching these quality parachutes burning. Lol, my grandpa was quite the badass
