Couldn't agree more. This section of the Yalmy Road is clearly the National Park section. The cleared vegetation underneath the eucs is from the 2003 fire break clearing. It is lazy and dangerous to try to present to the community at large that this forest is under threat - it will never be logged.
It is a disgrace that the Victorian Labor government plans to clear-fell log this forest. What a shame, the trees will end up as woodchips for japanese paper mills and low grade pallet timber used in Australia for packing things on for trucking around the country. Have a look at the Brown Mountain video here on youtube, to see what the Vic government is doing to the largest remaining old growth forest in the state.
