@ItsOnlyThis no this way saved them 50 grand. Much cheaper than to do it CGI as opposed to actually taking the time to do it the way you are referring to, and it would look choppy like you said. They'd have to spend more time on it, and time = money.

@GuanoLad It would work, but to get him to walk and do the same hand gestures at the right time is nearly impossible, it would look short of choppy and un-professinal. Then again, that probably would save them like 50 grand...

All very impressive work, but it seems like they chose the most complicated way of possibly doing it. I'm sure there were much simpler methods, like actually doing it the way they tried to make it appear it was done.
