I know this comment is old, but I absolutely agree with you. I used to watch the Saw movies for the violence and stuff, but I just recently re-watched them all again up to Saw 5 and I really liked the story, I agree that John doesn't torture and murder people, but I definitely think he shouldn't have caught that fat guy who cut himself and put him into the wire trap because he hadn't even commited any crimes and hadn't killed anyone or anything.
