@Belarithian 13 musicians, 12 players on a performance, it's not because 12 is a better number, the reason is 1 musician is a backup in case one of 12 players is sick, the backup person knows almost every instrument but not perfect at any of them.

If you read the texts carefully, you'll see that there are 13 musicians together but only 12 plays on a performance. I guess the 12 is a better number :)
