Helping Somalia

The government has admitted that it is helping to train Somalis in a bid to help the Somali Federal government but denies that any Kenyans are among those being trained. Immigration Minister Otieno Kajwang says 2,000 Somalis have been trained by the Kenyan government. Kajwang was speaking when he appeared before a joint Parliamentary committee on Administration and National Security and Defense and Foreign Affairs.

Tybash, Somalis are a minority in Isiolo. Original inhabitants of Isiolo are the meru, samburu, and the Borana. The large Somali population is mainly the result of retired Somali soldiers who settled in the area after World War I. Ofcourse some of the Somalis moved to Isiolo in the recent past.

@Tybash. I respect your opinion but you have to understand that after the westerners created the so called African countries, then came the question of sovereignity. From my experience I will tell that with what is currently happening in Somalia, dont expect the Kenyan govt to open its borders till such a time that you have peace in Somalia. It was easier before the civil war but now forget about it.

Wow, freegastanker, you shock me. You mean Raila, Ruto and Kajwang are the face of corruption in Kenya? did you forget the Water Ministry? Office of the President? Did you forget Anglo Leasing? Did you forget .. etc.. etc.... what mega-scandal did these three leaders do? Name all the mega scandals and who committed them and you will see you are wrong. These guys are not clean but to say they are the major ones means perhaps you have some hidden complaint against them...
