  • if I write : cd Desktop then terminal write : No such file or directory, so what's my problem ? please for help, thx

  • @Termix444 Does your prompt look like "username@computername:~$" ? If not, then type cd ~ first, then cd Desktop.

  • Hey Could you please tell me how to run .rpm files in linux after mounting. Please reply .Thanks, Subscribed.

  • @Arjun007ize RPMs are not executables, they are instllers. After you install, there should be an entry in your little menu, or if not, try typing the program's name into the command line.

  • i just want to ask you what Ubuntu version are you on and does this work for 8.10

  • Well, I recorded this on 8.10, so yes. I'm on 9.04 and it still works. For the most part, programs will run on any distro, so I'd wager a guess that as long as you can install alien, this will work for you.

  • What if gdebi won't install the program automatically? gdebi should install it if I double-click it but it just opens up the files.
