This 68 minutes long TV-special was produced in 1980 and was released in countries like USA, UK, Finland, Turkey, Italy etc

One year later the same production team but different director produced the 26 episodes series "Wakakusa Monogatari Yori Wakakusa no Yon Shimai"

The character design of Meg, Beth and Amy stayed the same, but Jo got different char design.

You can see the characters by searching the anime by "Eine fröhliche Familie"(A happy family in German) instead of "Little Women".
