Is that seriously what the instructions say? Wow, that's not an efficient use of knots at all.

The problem is that knot is not adjustable. I recommend using the midshipman's hitch instead. It is plenty secure, but infinitely adjustable.

glad to see someone doing a proper video on the original method! ive moved on to rap rings now though, much quicker, you might find it easier as well....
