P.J. might have been the worse for wear when he did this show but the voice is still GREAT!! I don't know how he did it. P.J. always says the camera angle made it look like he was unbuttoning the girls blouse but the was not!

Jameson pretended to be outraged but in secret he asked P.J. back on to the show at a later date because of the high ratings!! Ron

Hi Grabar,

I don't know who you are, but Mr Proby hasn't dunk a drop of alcohol in over 15 years and has more class in his little pink than you seem to have as a person. It takes a strong character to escape the alcohol trap! All the others are right: Proby is the best singer ever and he deserves your respect! For your own sake I hope you learn to appreciate someone special when you see it... You must have some interest in the man, or you wouldn't be here! LOL

i have this on tv interview and song performance on dvd. it was a must see clip for PJ fans. and he certainly had 2 black eyes. he looked a right mess. but through all his ups and downs..

that voice will is just amazing. PJs the best singer of them all.

The story is that,to Derek Jameson's horror, PJ turned up for the live show wearing a big pair of dark glasses to cover 2 black eyes from a recent fight . It was clear that PJ had been drinking and insisted on singing "Love Letters" Unrehearsed and not even knowing the words he had a girl holding a board with the words on.

As he sang he started to unbutton the girls blouse.Jameson was releived that the song ended before things went too far.

Still a great performance from the best singer ever.
