I don't believe your stats. The USDA recently released a report on goose strikes which showed an average of 1.5 goose/plane strikes per year PER STATE. The International Bird Strike committee counts a dead bird being found on the runway as a 'bird strike'. Bird strikes aren't even included in the FAA's list of causes of plane crashes; pilot error and mechanical failure tops the list.

Not true...in fact the CDC says there is little potential for Canada geese or their droppings to transmit disease to humans. According to state and university public health experts including the New Jersey Department of Health, goose feces are fairly innocuous, posing little or no health risks to humans.

No mater how cute people think these birds are- the facts are that they have seriously overpopulated, to the extent that they are causing problems all over the U.S. They have caused numerous issues with airlines- including 78 recent strikes with aircraft in New York. The Center for Disease Control Atlanta confirm that Canada goose excrement is laden with potentially dangerous bacteria, some of which are resistant to bactericides(do you want your children exposed to this?). I say feed the poor!

So i understand that you don't want them in those areas. but why? they are truly majestic birds. i would love to have them around.
Maybe it's because i live in Texas. i don't see the big Canadas anymore like i used to. I love themmmm
