After my 3 and 4 club practice today, I put in about 15 minutes of 5c practice. These are the best runs from that practice. 3 clean qualifies and one dirty 11 catch run.

By watching these practice clips, I've determined that my right hand isn't crossing over enough before the throw and that it's causing the club to spin incorrectly(inward). I'll try to correct that.

If anyone else has any tips to help me out or, sees something else that I'm doing wrong, please let me know.

Thanks,
-Rico

  • try juggling clubs with white handles. or do the whole thing blindfolded. when i learned, i had to play records backwards and carve miniature tophats on to the knobs. but then again, i learned with dube europeans.

  • @nomorepoetsplease Sounds like some great advice. I'll give that a try. Do you have a blade preference for the tophat carving?

  • try to keep the hight of the first 3 throws :) good luck

  • @Leeroy49 Yeah, I noticed that too. It tends to get lower as it goes along. When I was learning 5 balls and 5 rings, I had the same problem.

  • Good Job (Y)

  • @kennyjuggling Thanks.

  • I used to have similar problems... working on 5551, 55514, and 561 were all really helpful in getting my heights normalized. Your mileage may vary, of course! The key is really just practicing a whole lot :)

  • Well, I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem you are doing anything "wrong" ..you just need more time to practice. I've been working on 5clubs consistently for a little over 2 years and it's nowhere near solid. Some days I struggle to get 20+ catches consistently. It is a long and slow battle. Good luck!

  • heights are problem

you're doing ok in beginning, but later you just seem to go lower and lower and wider...

juggling 5c cascade on doubles means throwing slow higher "loafty" doubles. and there is one trick to help you on that one - 4 club fountain on singles.

feeling is almost the same and it will benefit 5c cascade. you should notice improvment in couple of weeks (i mean it's not instant success)

otherwise, it's just down to practice... also practice a lot of triples with 3&4 club

  • nice job... practicing triple singles from both sides helps a lot... but it looks good...

  • @RicotheJuggler i had the same problems too ;) and you seem to have problems to make good angles from the right hand (complete throws so to say)
