How To Hook Up a Wireless Router

This video was actually just for my family and it has since caught on. The title was sort of an inside joke directed at specific people and is not meant to be taken seriously.

The Video's intent is to show you the basics of how to hookup your wireless router to your cable modem. we also additionally show you how to hardwire a desktop connection as well as a printer to be used wirelessly. Use as much or as little information as you need. thanks.

@kgeorge66 if timewarner is your Internet service provider you may have to call them to activate service. generally speaking as long as your service is paid for and you have everything hooked up correctly it should give you the option to access your wireless network within a few minutes.

Do you Have To "switch" off your modem or could i just unplug it?

@ThePortadump I am unsure what this question is in regard to. Unplugging your modem or router is fine. Every time that my wireless internet stops working one of the first things I do is unplug the modem/router for about ten seconds in an attempt to reboot the internet.

@considerately Does wireless routers work with Satellite internet modems?

@RealSouljaYuye If you live in a hotspot you don't need to hook your ps3 up to anything. Just go to network settings, choose wireless, and let it scan for a wireles access point. It will show you a list of what's in your area and the percentage of how strong your connection is. Some are password protected and some may not be. If you see one that is Not, just press connect, and you are online. :) When I travel, I take my ps3 so that I can play it at hotels!.. Have fun.
