The Flight of the Bumble-Bee - Xylo Solo

Featuring Soloist Alex Entin, this arrangement of The Flight of the Bumble-Bee starts out with material taken from the original but soon features new material, some of which is based is on previously introduced themes by Rimsky-Korsakov, some that are completely original, and a nice little cameo by a well-known Julius Fucik theme. This arrangement was performed at the annual UNC Arts Gala, UNC's Small Ensembles Concert for All-State Weekend, the Percussive Arts Society's "Fort Collins Day Of Percussion" and as the closer to both Alex's Senior Recital and my own Composition Recital. The sheet music is available through R. Laney Percussion. My eternal thanks go out to each member of the ensemble for making this possible. I had an absolute blast playing it with you guys. Enjoy!
