Except if your planning on having a messed up society, where dialogue means strike, where half of the population consider themselves as leftists but still don't really like foreigners...go figure.
there is no such thing as a perfect society, and sometimes, I believe that a strike may be the only way to prevent it from getting worse. Oh, and I don't know a single country in this world that doesn't like "foreigners" (no, I'm not a very optimistic person) but if you think that something is wrong where you live, make it change instead of just complaining.
