Showering money on a quran reciter? This is one of the signs of Yawm Qiyama. I am from Morocco, I have never seen this. I am sure the Qari is innocent from these people. This is clearly a Bid3a. These people should review this behaviour. If they mean to pay the Qari, give him a donation, sadaqah. If they mean to pay the event organizer, pay them. But throwing money in the air is usually associated with dancers.

His Tilawa is very wonderful but shame on those who are throwing money, and for the one who's saying subhan allah after each aaya what's his job !! he doesn't need a microphone to make tasbeeh to allah and he should close his mouth while someone is reading Quran ..

Really people should learn more to respect more, if you want to give money islam taught as to do Zakat, Sadaqa etc.. give him your sadaqa in private no need to show everyone and throw all the money on floor !!

I am not sure if they were throwing money or not if that s the case i think it is shoking not from the SUNAT. that s not the occasion to compete about who can throw more money, it is occasion to listen and connect with the almighty God. the reciter has an amazing voice mashaALLAH. It is my first time to see money being throwing on a reciter in my life should not be done, if somebody wants to donate money it should be in secret,
