What do you guys think about people that say a 2275 or 2332 is just too much for a daily driver/occasional drag strip motor?

So possible to have a 2L motor thats got enough kick ass in the can for mid to high 12's but still be ok the freeway? How are motors like that on toughness?
I only ask b/c they are aircooled and I would worry about over heating it at the track and warping something.

Build it, run it. Anything can overheat, but you're more likely to do it on the street, not the track. Dont fall in love with it, its only metal, lol.
