http://www.outsourcinglive.com If you are on a PC, then this is a great piece of software that will help you shrink your video file down to a reasonable size so you can send it over to your video editor. This will save you time and resources in the long run and will make life a lot easier for you and your team.

  • Not only is Handbrake awesome for compressing HD videos from my Cell phone it can Convert and compress DVD videos to play on my cell phone (Nokia N8).

  • @HarleyTruck Awesome! I didn't know you can play videos on the Nokia - that's how out of touch I am with mobile devices nowadays. I've been sticking to the iPhone...

  • @Outsourcinglive Oh get your hands on an N8. The quality is just amazing. Nokia N8 has the largest sensor and best stereo sound. Nokia uses algorithms and sampling that produce the clearest and smallest video file. Search You Tube for Side by Side comparisons N8 to Iphone4 you will be amazed. In April Nokia will be releasing the new N808 that is 41mp! The prices on N8's are below $300 us and dropping to mid $200 us. I couldn't find an iPhone 4 for under $500.

  • @HarleyTruck Wow! That's great to know about that. So for people who can't afford the iphone, the Nokia is another good option as a video camera, since Kodak and Flip are out of business. I'll keep that in mind and perhaps buy one to test it out myself. Thanks for the excellent tip.

  • nice!

  • @GideonShalwick I've been using it compress a lot of videos as well, and I know James Schramko talks about it all the time as well. Thanks.

  • @Outsourcinglive Don't need to activate it as a cell phone either. You can use the camera, the wifi, the browser, the navigation, music player, etc without activating the phone. Try that on on iPhone or Android Phone. The navigator is better than any Apple or Google Navigation program. Take pictures and videos and upload them. Check out the You Tube Videos comparing picture quality iPhone vs. N8.

  • @Outsourcinglive Also give the Kodak Xi10 a try. Good video, easy to use and external mic jack for under $200. Don't like their firmware as much as Nokia. Their Bankruptcy cancelled the new Xi12 which may come out somewhere. Keep your eyes open. Good times for Video ahead. Great work on your videos btw.
