@JTMarlin8 no to angles and number of BBs, but chain sizes, yes... as i demonstrated above, it lets you know what will work, since as you brought it up, you often only have a box of parts to work with.
eg, you would know that campag 9sp is close enough to shimano/sram 9sp to work just fine, but UN chains with 11sp, prolly not a great idea. It also lets you know that SOME 10sp quicklinks will work with 11sp, therefore making the proprietary $400 campy 11 chain-joining tool redundant.
@FearlessMortalRacing it's the same as the 10sp... UT have their own cups in ENG or ITA threading. That said, the 10sp crankset differs by 0.6mm, so a 10sp crankset will work fine. I still have centaur 10 on my chorus 11.
@utubeski42 Actually, his job is setup bikes to each individual rider's preferences with a boxes of components sent to him from Campy, free of charge. Please explain how memorizing dimensions of a chain is an important aspect of his job. Should he remember the exact angles of the frame geometry as well? How about the number of balls in the headset bearings?
Sorry - annoying bike geeks like yourself are a pet peeve of mine. I bet you carry a set of Mitutoyo calipers in your jersey pocket.
wow, what a joke, mechanic doesn't even know the specs of what he's working on.
the 10sp UN chain was 5.9mm - the new 11sp is 5.5mm = 0.4mm difference.
jeez, this is his job - the least he could do is read up on it. His job is easier than a lot of other mechs as campy 11 is all he needs to know for the team!
sorry - overpaid mechs that don't know what they're talking about is a pet peeve of mine.
Hahaha, excellent video. Typical "no-bullshit" Aussie. In all the other videos about campy 11 speed, they make it sound like it was constructed by God himself...
Nice video. The frame looks beautiful. I am sure it rides nice. I ride the 07 system six and the transfer of power is amazing. As mentioned in the video there is no noticeable torque and the bike moves out quicker than any others I have ridden.

What bb do you need to use the 11spd crankset?
