Protesters in Bolivia have clashed with police in the country's capital during a demonstration by disabled people demanding that the government pay them an annual subsidy.
A caravan of about 50 adults and children with disabilities, some using crutches, others in wheelchairs, arrived in La Paz on February 23 after a 100-day protest journey.

There is no such thing as Yugoslavia. By the way, genetically speaking Croatians, Bosnians, and half of Serbs are genetically Proto-Semitic relating to Jews and Arabs. they are not even Slavs even though they adopted a slavic language. Proto-semites migrated into Europe 45,000 years ago and we were there since Paleolithic times. Bolivians have Roman Catholicism a branch of Christianity that has Semitic Roots. You are in our religion or your religion.

You got to understand Bolivia is a poor country, amongst the poorest in latin america, however, Bolivia has rich natural resources. The eternal problem has been that the governements in the past have been corrupted and dictators, the police is corrupted even the judicial judges. In spite of all this, this rather unique nation has managed to survive and keep dictators out of power, if democracy continues, bolivia will see better days.

Branko Marinkovic is on the run from the law. It no longer matters where he is, as soon as he sets foot in Bolivia territory, he will be arrested by the interpol or local police. On another note, The Yugoslavs now realize that they came across with a different type of ethnic groups in Bolivia. South America is not the Balkans, Bolivia is not Yugoslavia, that is where they went wrong.

what about the croatian branko marinkovic? I saw all that Ustasi propaganda Bullshit done by the govt using Yugoslav communist material. It is true the Ustasi had been with the Axis power but Branko Marinkovic family go back 3 generations in Bolivia before the existence of Fascist Ante Pavelic.

Anyone or any country trying to come to Bolivia and rob their Lithium will have to bring their pick and shovels to dig their own graves because it is going to be ugly, the fight will be ferocious trying to steal or control lithium.

In the past the US had a strong hold on latin american via the CIA including Bolivia. But that has ended. Betchel was run out of Cochabamba as they were chargin high prices for water. Bolivia is a small market for the US, but of all the nations around the world, Lithium deposits lie in Bolivia and this is going to be a sticky situation for anyone wanting plenty of Lithium. Bolivian people has become very jelous of their natural resources to a point where they will die to defend it.

Since 1825 Bolivia had a slew of military dictators and brutal government oppressors. from the 60,70 into the 80 the Militaray run Bolivia just to squander and pillgar the national coffers. But a group of miners most women went on a hunger strike near the Government palace, which eventually topple the military ruler. The last military tirant Garcia Meza, is serving a 30 yrs prison for human rights abuses and crimes.
